The SDDCA (Sippy Downs & District Community Assoc)

About the SDDCA

SDDCA LOGO - Master 2 x 1000The Sippy Downs & District Community Association Inc (SDDCA) was formed to foster a sense of identity and civic pride in our community, to represent the best interests of residents and ratepayers in our community, to protect the environment and lifestyle enjoyed within our community and most importantly to act upon those developments and decisions which would impact upon either our community as a whole or upon individual residents within our community.

The SDDCA aims to foster a sense of community and to promote the interests of residents and business while developing local networks for this fast-growing area.

History

1966339_697551653621788_669543900_oIn 2003 a group of new Sippy Downs residents met to discuss their concerns over a number of local issues and intern identified that there was no registered community or residents organisation to represent them or act as a coordinating body.
Some of these residents had been members of the previous Tanawha and District Community Association prior to the development of Sippy Downs and during 2004 after making the appropriate enquiries and arrangements, the existing registered structure of the Tanawha and District Community Association had it’s name changed to the “Sippy Downs and District Community Association Inc”, being officially registered on 15 Feb 2005.
